Barbara purchased her first Weimaraner puppy
in February of 1971. Having previously trained a Dalmatian in
obedience, Barb was interested in continuing this activity with
a Weimaraner. Her first Weim was Joisey Jo’s Spooky Lady CD NSD.
She was a daughter of Kam’s Redhill Resolute and a
grand-daughter of Ch. Warhorse Billy of Redhill CD. When Chip
first met Barb it was a case of "Love me, love my dog!". What
could he do? After marrying Barb in 1973 he purchased his own
Weimaraner puppy, Braun’s Silver Lining CD NSD NRD. He was out of Ch
Wetobe’s Dear Daunt and Ch Sandvold’s Jingle Belle CD.
They had a daughter from Spooky and Braun who
was named Tinkerbelle’s Magic Moondust CD. They then purchased a
girl by the name of Kristof’s Royal Jubilee CD NRD who was
Jeff’s first 4-H and Junior Showmanship Dog.
Our first "show dog" was
"show dog" was
Ch Redhill’s Billie Jo CD NSD NRD V.

These were our early dogs who taught us what
Weimaraners were all about. We learned a lot about how to train
dogs. We got a lot of advice from Weimaraner experts as well as
people with other breeds. We became 4-H Dog Project leaders in
1976 (and still continue) in order to teach children how to
become responsible dog owners. Continue on through our pages to
see photos and read about the Weimaraners that have filled our
lives since.
